This notice explains what happens to the personal data you share with Echto on echto.eu. It covers the website and waitlist only, not the Echto assistant itself, which will have its own privacy policy before launch.
Who is responsible

What we collect and why
- Waitlist form: your email address, country, and optionally your first name, the uses you select and your message. We use this to invite you to early access, send updates about Echto, and understand what to build first.
- Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
- No advertising: this website uses no advertising cookies or ad trackers, and loads its fonts from our own server.
Analytics and cookies
Only if you click Accept analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are useful. If you reject or ignore the question, Google Analytics is not loaded at all and no analytics cookies are set.
- Provider: Google Ireland Limited, with possible processing by Google LLC in the United States. Transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses. See Google's privacy policy.
- What is collected: pages viewed, approximate location (country/city, IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics 4), device and browser type, referring website, and whether the waitlist form was sent. Never your email address or other form contents.
- Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive).
- Retention: analytics data is kept for 2 months. Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off.
- Your choice is remembered for 6 months in your browser's local storage (key
echto-consent), after which we ask again. - Change your mind: . Withdrawing consent stops analytics and deletes its cookies.

Who processes your data
The waitlist form is handled by Formspree, Inc. (United States), which receives and stores the form submissions on our behalf. Transfers to the US rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses. See the Formspree privacy policy. Our website is hosted by [hosting provider, country].
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or at the latest 12 months after Echto launches publicly.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or move your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Contact us to use any of these rights. You can also complain to your national data protection authority; in the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
